Rothersthorpe

We decided to go for a walk along the canal at Rothersthorpe to Gayton Marina and back to see what we could find to photograph. It was one of those cold crisp mornings ideal for a walk, although it was a weekday in the middle of February, so we knew there wouldn’t be much on the canal itself.

Smoke Photography

For the last few years I’ve felt I’ve not been taking photos for me; I’m kept busy with various aspects of photography and that’s great, it’s what I love to do.  This year I’ve made a point of taking a camera out when I’ve gone out with the family and enjoyed the fact that I’m taking photos because I want to and am not constricted by a customer brief.  I decided to do the kind of thing I did many many years ago, when I was learning the art of photography.

In total it only took about 1½ hours from start to finish which is great as I am busy.  I have enjoyed getting back to basics and am sure there will be more to come.

All these images are basically trails of smoke from a couple of incense sticks.  Can you find the Aliens???

Newborn Babies

Over the past year, I’ve photographed a few newborn baby images.  Although these shoots can take a lot longer to do than a normal portrait shoot and are not as financially rewarding, I get a great deal of pleasure out of them.  I want to do more newborn photography to increase my portfolio, so I’m on the lookout for anyone just given birth that would be interested in having some free images.  To qualify the baby will need to be approx. two weeks old around the time of the shoot.
