When we were in the Forest of Dean we stayed in a little
village called Parkend. This village has the start of a five station
steam train track that runs for four and a half miles, as it was on our
doorstep we had to visit.
There is
something majestic about steam trains, although obviously old fashioned, they
are full of character and charm.
