We
were pleased when John and Sophie booked us to cover their wedding. It wasn’t until our second meeting that they
told us we had been recommended by Tom and Lizzie, a former bride and groom of
ours, which is always better than any advert.
We
knew this was going to be challenging a few days before the wedding, when we
found out the church, St Katherine’s in Droughton, had no electric lighting. Like a lot of old churches it is very dark
inside, however we didn’t need to worry as the vicar allowed us to use flash
which is quite unusual. We then moved
off to Hunsbury Hill Centre for the reception.
Sophie had laid out a vintage style reception whilst John, who’s a
Marvel comic fanatic, added a few touches of his own. The wedding was great fun for everyone
involved and we got some great images.
The
Marvel theme gave me the idea of creating a newspaper front page, and the
opportunity to play with Photoshop, which was great as I don’t get the time
just to play these days.
